Sooraj R Barjatya's
Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon has been cut by one reel. Viewers will now see the film clipped by 20 minutes.
MPKDH, which spanned 3 hours 17 minutes, is now 2 hours 58 minutes long.
Sources told rediff.com Barjatya felt the first half was too long, "therefore the film was cut by a reel," a source said.
Viewers will not see the song Sanjana, I love you and the Valentine's Day party scene.
The Barjatyas were apparently told that the Valentine's party was out of context and did not look like an Indian function.
Trade experts say collections for the film have been falling since Monday, June 30. On the other hand,
MPKDH has struck
lucky in the US. It is the 16th highest grossing film in North America and expected to end with a $1.5 million gross.
