Last year, Bollywood got its first blockbuster during the monsoons, when Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas swept the box office mid-July.

This year, too, the monsoons saw Bollywood's biggest success with Rakesh Roshan's Koi…Mil Gaya.

After a tame first half, 2003 sprang hits with Ken Ghosh's Ishq Vishk, Ram Gopal Varma's Bhoot, Aziz Mirza's Chalte Chalte, Harry Baweja's Qayamat, Priyadarshan's Hungama and Satish Kaushik's Tere Naam.
