Lata Mangeshkar to inaugurate Donna Ganguly's dance school
Dikshamanjari will be a centre of excellence for various Indian classical dance forms

Bollywood singer Lata Mangeshkar will inaugurate a dance school started by Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly's wife Dona November 28.
Leading Bollywood personalities and several Indian cricketers like Yuvraj Singh and Rahul Dravid are expected to attend the extravaganza planned at the Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata. West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya will also be present.
The school called Dikshamanjari will be a centre of excellence for various Indian classical dance forms, but most particularly the Odissi dance that Dona herself excels in.
"Lata Mangeshkar has consented to inaugurate Dona's dance school, which is her dream project," Ganguly family sources said.
Lata is expected to stay back for a cultural soiree slated for the same evening. Bollywood singers Babul Supriyo, Alka Yagnik, Hariharan, Kavita Krishnamurthy and some other singers will perform on the occasion.
Sourav Ganguly's childhood club Barisha Sporting, will also use the occasion to celebrate its centenary year. Ganguly began his cricketing life from this club.
Eminent exponent of Odissi dance and Dona's teacher Kelucharan Mahapatra will also attend the inauguration.
