Bobby Deol
Bobby, Amisha, Akshaye: set to thrill
In Abbas-Mustan's Humraaz.

Aseem Hattangady in Mumbai

Director duo Abbas-Mustan are out with their latest thriller Humraaz, starring Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna and Amisha Patel. The cast was present at the music release of the film, at The Regent, Mumbai, recently.

Dressed in black, Bobby seemed unaffected by the recent fire on the sets of his film 23 March 1931 -- Shaheed. When asked about the incident, he simply said, "I'm here for Humraaz." In Humraaz, he plays a rich man with big business plans. But life changes when he comes in contact with Akshaye and Amisha.

Amisha Patel Amisha, looking stunning in a green ghagra-choli, was accompanied by her mother Asha. Says Amisha, "I play a negative character in this film. You will not hate me but you will be very shocked." She seems very confident about the film's music. "They (Abbas-Mustan) are very musically inclined. The film has great music."

Akshaye Khanna made a brief entry for a photo session, and disappeared. Songs shot at exotic locales were screened, revealing most of the storyline.

Abbas-Mustan (Khiladi, Baazigar, Ajnabee) seemed very excited about the film, "Humraaz is not a typical love triangle. The only way to keep audience interested is to have twists, thrills and suspense."

The two have opted for Himesh Reshammiya (Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya, Hello Brother, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge and Jodi No 1) instead of their regular composer Anu Malik. "Himesh is a good friend. He made us listen to a few of his compositions, which we liked. That's why we took him," says Abbas.

Akshaye Khanna "The music is great. It is very situational and blends with the film's story," says Himesh. The music is released by Venus Records And Tapes Pvt Ltd, keeping up their partnership since Khiladi since 1993.

The romantic thriller is slated for release in June.
