K3G is a riot in Calcutta

Amitabh Bachchan Karan Johar's marketing strategy for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is going great guns.

Teaser posters promoting the single from the film's soundtrack in Calcutta were ripped off walls by fans.

Things got so bad that the Police had to be called in to guard the new set of posters, when they were put up.

Meghna's first film

Meghna Gulzar Meghna Gulzar is shooting the last schedule of her directorial debut film Filhaal starring Tabu, Sushmita Sen and Sanjay Suri.

The film has had its share of setbacks and it's release has been delayed. And though Meghna is upset about the fact, she's determined to wrap things up as soon as possible.

Rajalaxmi's item number in Asoka

Asoka Rajalaxmi Roy, wife of actor Rahul Roy, has just shot a sensational dance number for Shah Rukh Khan's Asoka.

Sushmita Sen was originally considered for the Gulzar-penned number but director Sivan finally zeroed in on Rajalaxmi.

Will the song do as much as Chhaiya chaaiya did for Malaika Arora?
We'll have to wait and watch.

Hindi films at Tokyo film fest

The Charity Film Festival soon to be held at Tokyo features two Hindi commercial films -- Dulhe Raja, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam among others.

Profits from the event will be utilized to develop villages and schools in the recently quake hit Gujarat.

Celebrating B N Sarkar's birth centenary

The Eastern India Motion Pictures Association (EIMPA) will celebrate the birth centenary of doyen of Indian cinema B N Sarkar from November 24. A year-long celebration of the life of Sarkar includes special screenings of his films.

A number of rare black and white films of the 1930s and '40s from the National Film Archives in Pune will be obtained to mark the centenary celebrations.

The celebrations would be inaugurated by West Bengal chief minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee.
