Mercedes-Benz launches 2014 edition of CLS 350

Mercedes-Benz has launched the 2014 edition of its luxury sedan CLS 350 in petrol engine, priced at Rs 89.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The latest edition of the luxury car has new features like three dimensional displays, active park assist, reversing camera with static and dynamic guidelines.

"With its design and sportiness, the model year 2014 CLS offers highest level of exclusivity, ride comfort and safety," Mercedes-Benz India Chief Executive and Managing Director Eberhard Kern said in a release.

The plush and spacious interiors and an attractive introductory price in its segment makes CLS a compelling choice to discerning customers in India, Kern added.

The German carmaker, which occupies the second slot in terms of volume in the domestic luxury car market, had reported 27.12 per cent increase in sales in the domestic market in the first quarter of this year at 2,554 units.

The company is in the final stages of doubling the production capacity at its plant in Chakan (Pune) to 20,000 per annum from 10,000 per annum, Mercedes-Benz India Vice-President (Sales and Network Development) Boris Fitz had recently said.
