If you look at the highest paid men, you can easily conclude that technology companies such as Google, Apple and Oracle pay their senior staff more money than CEOs in best of the companies.
It also shows that the talent in technology sector is limited and these companies want to retain their senior staff at any cost.
Take example of Christopher Fry, the senior vice president of engineering at Twitter. The company paid him $10.3 million last year, slightly less than the CEO ($11.5 million). And in many companies, senior staff is making more money than the CEOs.
