Aimed at connecting the next billion to Internet in the country, Microsoft Devices unveiled its latest affordable handset - Nokia 225 - priced at Rs 3,329.
The slim device, which will be available in both single and dual SIM versions, underlines the company's commitment to connect the next billion to the Internet, Nokia said in a statement.

The Nokia 225 offers affordable internet access through the cloud-powered Nokia Xpress Browser on a 2.8-inch display.
It also features 2MP camera, 1200 mAh battery, FM radio, is MP3 compatible and offers up to 32GB micro SD card support.

"Offering a rich media experience and simple functionality combined with Nokia trust and quality, the Nokia 225 enables us to bring the affordable mobile phone experience to consumers across the spectrum," Nokia India Sales Pvt Ltd Head Mobile Phones Sari Harju said.
Nokia India Sales Pvt Ltd is a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile Oy.
After completing the acquisition of Nokia's handset business, Microsoft in April this year had said it will target the $50 billion affordable handset market.

"With the Nokia mobile phone business, Microsoft will target the affordable mobile devices market, a USD 50 billion annual opportunity, delivering the first mobile experience to the next billion people while introducing Microsoft services to new customers around the world," it had said.
According to IDC data, feature phone shipments in the country rose 18 per cent to about 213 million units in 2013 from 201.8 million units in the previous year.
