The device comes with a 5.5-inch IPS full-HD screen, 2GHz dual-core Intel Atom processor and 2GB RAM.
The already crowded smartphone market has another entrant: Lenovo's K900. With this, the company has tried to bring to the customer a premium device with a 5.5-inch IPS full-HD screen.
Before, we get into the details, let me tell you that the device looks stunning and will attract attention without fail. But is that all? Let's find out.

Design
The Lenovo K900 is one of the best looking smartphones I have come across in recent times. The steel grey finish with the metal back plate renders it a sleek and snazzy appeal.
For a phone as large as this, it's slim, at 6.9mm, which makes it easy to hold. Other 5.5-inch phones I have used earlier are generally too bulky. Also, the K900 is surprisingly light, weighing just 162 g.

Performance
Statistically, the device has all one would ask for: ARM-based Qualcomm and Mediatek processors, a 2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 CPU with PowerVR SGX544 graphics and 2GB of RAM.
There's 16 GB of internal memory (no expandable micro SD slot) and a 2,500 mAh battery.
For those who like to use their smartphones as cameras too, it comes with a 13MP rear and a 2MP front camera. All of this runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Where it scores
The 5.5-inch IPS LCD is a delight, with its 1,920x1080 resolution. The colours are rich and the black levels are deep.
The 13-MP camera delivers crystal-clear pictures in daylight and doesn't disappoint in poor light.
The GPS performance is excellent. It manages to get a lock as fast as any phone I've seen and is mostly accurate.

Where it fails
The Intel processor does not live up to expectations. Several games such as the Ashphalt 8 don't run smoothly on it.
The touch sensitivity lets you down often. Another major problem with the phone is it heats up to uncomfortable levels.

When one spends over Rs 25,000 on a smartphone, one expects the battery to last a full day of work.
The K900 fails here. With average internet usage, some gaming and several calls, the battery lasts for just seven hours.
There's no expandable memory. So, you have to be satisfied with the 9.77 GB of user available internal memory.

Verdict
The Lenovo K900 has the looks, the screen, the camera - all of which are top-notch. This makes it a highly desirable gadget.
But, I am hesitant to recommend it as it falters on several fronts such as the processor performance and battery life.
However, if you are at peace with those flaws, at Rs 28,999, you may go for it for the fantastic screen, super-sleek premium design and a camera that can be easily considered one of the best in the category.
