India's mobile-phone market grew to 183 million handsets in 2011 - a year-on-year growth of 10 per cent, with smartphones contributing to 6.2 per cent of the market, according to CyberMedia Research, a technology, entrepreneurship, utilities, healthcare and user intelligence firm.
It reported in India Monthly Mobile Handsets Market Review that total 3G phone shipments stood at 18 million units in 2011.
