Manufacturing growth: Bihar on top

Bihar had the highest manufacturing growth in 2010-11, despite some deceleration in the previous two years.

Manufacturing growth in Bihar stood at 15 per cent in 2010-11 against 15.2 per cent a year ago and 21.9 per cent in 2008-09, according to data provided by Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.

Chhattisgarh saw manufacturing production grow by 13 per cent in 2010-11 against 10 per cent in the previous year and merely 2.4 per cent in 2008-09.
