The Indian Railways has one of the busiest railway networks in the world. With over 7,000 railway stations, the Railways facilitate the smooth operations of trains across the country carrying 30 million passengers and 2.8 million tonnes of freight everyday.
With the Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi promising to upgrade many stations with modern amenities, here's a look at some of the notable railway stations in India...
