The Volkswagen recently launched Vento TSI recently in India at a price of Rs of 999,999 (ex-showroom New Delhi).
The Vento TSI is available only in a single trim level, the Highline variant. However, VW will offer the car with a choice of six body colours - Shadow Blue, Candy White, Pepper Grey, Terra Beige, Deep Black and Reflex Silver.

The Vento TSI gets the same 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that powers the Polo GT TSI.
The engine produces 105PS and 175Nm of torque and comes mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission.

The ARAI certified fuel economy of the Vento TSI stands at 16.93kmpl.
The Vento TSI competes with other automatic sedans in its segment such as the AT variants of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti SX4, Skoda Rapid, Ford Fiesta, Nissan Sunny and the Renault Scala.

The company has already started selling the car at select VW dealerships.

Saxena had earlier mentioned that the German carmaker will not introduce all-new models in 2013.
Instead, the company will bring in special editions and additional variants such as the recently launched Cross Polo and Polo GT TDI to maintain sales momentum.
