With the recent hike in fuel prices, fate of diesel powered cars is a wee uncertain. Though the gap between the prices of petrol and diesel are huge, but there is no certainty that it will remain the same.
In such a scenario, car makers are now turning to CNG cars which are also cost effective. Diesel cars though deliver a high mileage but are heavy on the pocket.
To revive falling sales, car majors are looking for a middle route. A bunch of cars (both existing and upcoming) are likely to be launched in the domestic market in CNG option.
