Look out for these AMAZING green cars

At the 42nd annual Tokyo Motor Show, leading auto companies unveiled some beautiful eco-friendly cars. These cars are said to justice not just to the environment, but are also a treat to drive.

According to The Globe and Mail, these eight cars are all the rage:

Mazda Takeri

This new concept car -- Takeri -- is derived from the Japanese word for "Male". Rightly, it is equipped with a full slate of Skyactiv features, including Mazda's new Skyactiv-D clean diesel.

In terms of design, the Takeri offers a very attractive shape, with traditional Mazda cues including a prominent hexagonal grille. The exterior of the concept shows a sleek and very modern design, and the interiors have a decisively more upmarket look than current Mazdas.

Toyota 86

Toyota 86 is a rear wheel drive sports car powered by the horizontally opposed D-4S engine.

A combination of lightweight body and superb aerodynamics ensures that every ounce of power is put to very good use. It's comes with a specially designed sports steering wheel, sports seats and sports pedals.

The 86 is available with a six-speed manual transmission or an advanced sports shift six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Volkswagen Cross Coupe

The sporty Cross Coupe concept is based on Volkswagen's new modular transverse matrix. The four-seater is powered by two electric motors and a direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engine.

What makes this car interesting is that instead of being a typical box-on-box crossover, the Cross Coupe looks more like a Hot Wheels car.

Keeping things green, power comes from a hybrid gasoline and electric drive system. The front wheels are powered by both a small gasoline engine and a supplemental electric motor, while a second electric motor powers the rear wheels when all wheel drive is needed.

Nissan Juke Nismo

Juke Nismo has a racy exterior and it is well supported by larger Brembo brakes with slotted rotors up front, stiffer springs and shocks and 19-inch wheels.

Also, the body kit isn't just a looker – it's functional – with the revised front and rear bumpers, grille and rear diffuser all aiding aerodynamics.

Nismo Juke will either be offered as a stand-alone model or an upgrade version, but we'll have to wait little for the decision.

Audi A1 Sportback

Audi's A1 Sportback is a five-door car and is available in with the same six engine options as its three-door sibling.

This means buyers now get a five-door car with a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder which is good for 185 horsepower.

Also the car manages to impress you with its stylish and bold looks. It also features many high-end solutions in terms of controls and infotainment; including Audi connect.

Honda EV-Ster electric

The EV-Ster is a battery-electric two-seat sports car, based on an all-new platform (made partly of carbon-fibre for this concept).

The EV-Ster concept has a lithium-ion battery with an output of 78bhp, which gives acceleration from 0-37mph in 5sec and a range of about 99 miles.

It is part of the company's mission to recover its engineering expertise, which it has lost in the last few years.

The Micro Commuter Concept is part of Honda's commitment to reduce its cars' average CO2 output by 30 per cent by 2020 based on 2005 emission levels.

Keeping in tune with modern times, Micro Commuter is connected with smart phone technology. This Honda will download destinations, appointments and so on and display them on the dashboard.
