Nissan plans to launch the Sunny AT in a CVT XL variant which gets keyless entry, push button start and interior chrome handles in addition to all the normal features of the XL manual variant.
Mikem also said that the official launch is some time this week with customer deliveries beginning in the next.

The Nissan Sunny XL CVT is powered by a 1.5L petrol engine good for 101PS/134Nm mated to the X-TRONIC CVT gearbox.
Although Nissan has been making Sunny's AT versions at their Chennai factory since 2010, they were destined for export markets only.

Nissan claims that the Sunny's automatic avatar is more fuel-efficient that the manual version. The Japanese automaker claims an FE of 17.97 kmpl for the AT version which is 1.02 kmpl more than manual version's 16.95 kmpl.
