As the Indian car market has shifted its sales from petrol cars to diesel fuelled cars, this change will see the market shifting back to home, or so the Japanese auto maker giant thinks.
However, they may be successful in their endeavours in getting the petrol cars market back, as they are offering power based cars with discounts and freebies and the lure of special editions, not to forget.
It is worth remembering that the current Maruti Wagon R is at its second in term, in terms of model and third in terms of avatar, because we saw the all new model being launched just a year back. It doesn't end here, Maruti is also in full swings to bring a facelift version of the wagon R PRO, that will have the much sought after 1.0L diesel engine, thus giving competition to the said-to-be frugal diesel powertrain of Hyundai i10, by late 2013. The version expected, however is said to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2013.
