Slovenian professor Roman Bezjak has spent the past five years travelling across Eastern Europe, looking for examples of socialist modernism in architecture.
He then turned his experience into a book, Socialist Modernism, which includes photos of hotels, shops and public buildings.
He has kindly agreed to share some of the photos with us.
