Sunil Khanna is Zee Tele CEO

Sunil Khanna, the chief executive officer of Zee Turner, has been named as the new president of Subhash Chandra-promoted Zee Telefilms Ltd.

Khanna would replace Apurva Purohit who has resigned for "better opportunities".

"The reorganisation would lead Zee network into new year with greater vigour and effect," a ZTL press release said on Wednesday, quoting chairman and managing director Subhash Chandra.

The film and broadcasting company also named Zee MGM and Zee English business head Ashwini Yardi as head of programming of ZTL and film writer and director Sudhir Mishra has been retained as a 'Creative Resource', it said.

ZTL named Dheeraj Kapuria, head (operations) of Zee, USA, as CEO of Zee Turner, in place of Khanna.

S Venkatasubramanian, Kapuria's deputy in Zee USA would take over from Dheeraj Kapuria, it said, adding the ambit of several senior management personnel had been expanded.

Abhijit Saxena, presently handling international business (Asia Pacific) and syndication of programming, would handle Zee English, Zee MGM, Trendz, Smile TV and FX Channel as business head.
