Yahoo Software Development India Pvt Ltd on Friday announced the appointment of Venkat Panchapakesan as its CEO and Bharat Vijay as COO at its R&D centre in Bangalore.
Venkat would provide strategic direction to the company's operations while Vijay would be in charge of developing high-level technical expertise amongst the teams at the development centre, a company release said in New Delhi.
The development centre would be engaged in software technology for its California based parent Yahoo Inc and focus on key engineering areas for the Yahoo including development of its products like mail and messenger, data mining and research, e-commerce, security, core infrastructure and database technologies.
