Indian American is VP of US co

Indian American Piyush Singh has been named as vice president of Cincinnati-based American Financial Group Inc.

Singh will look after information technology services of AFG's property and casualty insurance operations and a number of AFG corporate functions.

He has also been named senior vice president and chief information officer of Great American Insurance Company.

Singh brings 12 years of insurance industry-specific experience to this position, much of which is related to transformation of front office insurance operations.

Singh earned his Bachelor of Science (Physics) from Hindu College, Delhi, a Masters in Computer Applications from the University of Delhi, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Bradley University in Peoria, IL.

Through the operations of the Great American Insurance Group, AFG is engaged primarily in property and casualty insurance, focusing on specialised commercial products for businesses, and in the sale of retirement annuities, supplemental insurance and life products.
