PRANAV SANGHAVI says, Hello everyone and welcome to the chat. Let's begin.

praveen asked, hi bought teledata @70 500 shares,
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers,  at 2007-06-06 11:57:28Hi Praveen, a lot of people had asked me a couple of months back about Teledata when it was hovering around Rs. 45 I think. At that time the company had announced a demerger and each shareholder was to receive shares of 3 new companies at no additional stock. Thereby sending the price up. I think you should hold on and take delivery of the demerged entities which will get automatic listing.
Nitish asked, I want to know what are the best option to save income tax and to get mony in short period when required.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I think BHEL is a fundamentally very strong stock and could be held with a 6 month to 2 year time horizon also.
AS asked, It is a very general myth that you only lose money if you go investing in shares. It is no less than gambling. How would you help people getting out of this misconception?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, One has to look at historical figures of the returns that stock markets have given over longer term of investments. Over a 25 year period for example stocks are only second to real estate in returns. More than Gold or any other form of investment. But day trading if done on tips and without proper research or trading tools could be equated with gambling.
ashish asked, sir what is the future of indiabulls @519 150 shares and pls tell me about cairn india

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, You could look at Unitech with a longer term view. DLF is a strong company and looks to have a lot of Foreign investors interested in the stock. Parsvanath was grossly overvalued and market is just rationalising the valuation. If you believe in the company then hold on for a longer term.
Lakshmi asked, What are the 1 year prospects of HCL technologies? The stock is around 340 now. Can we expect 15 to 20% return?
