The US economy, Yen carry trade and ofcourse the global markets performance. Today the markets have fallen on the weak subprime mortgage numbers in the housing sector that the US announced yesterday which sent not only the DOW and NASDAQ down but also all the asian and emerging markets.

Till then you could look at other power sector stocks. RPL is a long term play and if you are willing to hold till 2009 or 2010 then you are fine. Jubiliant I don't follow.

As far as cement stocks are concerened it would depend on the outcome of the ongoing discussions that the industry is having with the goverment who is trying to impose indirect price controls which is not healthy for the industry.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would buy at every dip. Buy 20 to 30% of what you wish to buy today. And in such quantities on every dip. With a 1 year outlook I don't think you will go wrong with Tech Mahindra. A 20 to 30% return cannot be ruled out.
