Toyota Innova sold 4,633 units in June 2005, higher by 48 per cent to Qualis, which sold 3,112 units in the corresponding period last year, a company statement said.
"Toyota sales account for 43 per cent of the total multi purpose vehicles sold in June 2005", according to Atsushi Toyoshima, managing director, TKM.
The launch of Toyota Innova has attracted multi-purpose vehicle buyers as well as Sedan buyers, he said in the statement.
Corolla, registering total sales of 901 units in June 2005 "continues to be the bestseller in the segment", Toyoshima said, adding the company has sold 5,000 Corollas in the last six months, this year.
Toyota Camry and Prado registered sales of 59 and seven units respectively in June 2005, the statement said.
