India's leading property developer, the Hiranandani group, has tied up with a firm in Dubai to build one of Dubai Marina's most impressive landmarks.

The company, the first Indian firm to enter the real estate market in Dubai, will built a 90-storey tower, to be known as '23 Marina'.

By linking up with ETA Star of Dubai, Hiranandani group, creator of one of Mumbai's most desirable residential addresses at Hiranandani Gardens in Powai, is consolidating its moves into international markets.

"I foresee Dubai as the Monte Carlo of the world in a few years and our development has been designed to cater to that kind of clientele. We believe that representing India in Dubai at this juncture is the beginning of an experiment to build better communities beyond India's borders," Darshan Hiranandani, director of Hircon LLC, said.

Besides infrastructure business, the Hiranandani group has diversified into entertainment, healthcare, hospitality, retail and call centres.
