Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd said on Friday that Ratan N Tata has been elected as the company's chairman.
The shareholders at the annual general meeting on Thursday, elected Ratan Tata as the company director. Subsequently, the board of directors elected Tata as the board chairman with effect from August 10, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

liable to retire by rotation, the company said.
R Gopalakrishnan and Kishor A Chaukar, directors, who retired by rotation on Thursday, did not offer themselves for re-election.
Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd is the listed subsidiary of Tata Teleservices Ltd.
