Government today gave the go ahead to 20 foreign technology collaboration proposals, including technology agreement of ABB Ltd, Cummins India and Samurai Entertainment.
The proposals were cleared by Commerce and Industry Minister Arun Jaitley based on the recommendations of the Project Approval Board.
PAB in its meeting held on October 20 under the chairmanship of industry secretary R R Shah had recommended these cases for approval, an official statement said in New Delhi.
The proposals approved include technical collaboration agreement between EMA India and Eldec Schwenk Induction GmbH for manufacturing high frequency transistorised IGBT/MOSFET frequency convertors and technical agreement between Cummins India and Cummins Inc, US, for manufacturing internal combustion piston engine.
Proposal for trademark agreement of Robert Bosch India with Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany for fuel injection systems for petrol engines; technology agreement of ABB with ABB Technology, Switzerland, for manufacture of instrument transformers; technology agreement of Samurai Entertainment with IMAX Corporation, Canada, for setting up three large format theatres has also been cleared.
