Mindtree chairman Ashok Soota quits

IT firm Mindtree on Friday said its co-founder and executive chairman Ashok Soota has resigned from the post in order to take on a new business venture.

He has also resigned from the post of director of the company, IT firm said in a statement.

"The decision to resign is for personal reasons. It is something I have thought about for a few months and arrived at a well-considered conclusion. I will finalise and announce my plans for a new business venture, shortly after my departure from MindTree," it added.

Soota further added, that since MindTree already has a CEO & MD, and the transition
will not pose any difficulties.

Ashok Soota was the co-founder of MindTree in August 1999 along with nine other industry professionals.

The businesses of MindTree cover IT services, product engineering services, independent testing, infrastructure management & technical support and wireless products.
