Sanjay Chandra, managing director of Unitech Ltd and a co-accused in the 2G case, on Monday withdrew his plea from the Delhi high court seeking permission to go to Singapore for treatment of his 9-year-old son.
Chandra, who wanted to catch a flight on Monday, withdrew his plea as Justice Indermeet Kaur declined to grant him the immediate relief.
"The petition is dismissed as withdrawn," the court said.
Earlier, Special Central Bureau of Investigation judge O P Saini had rejected Chandra's plea seeking permission to go to Mount Elizabeth Hospital at Singapore for the treatment of his minor son, who has been suffering from a kidney problem earlier and now been diagnosed with diabetes.
Chandra had sought permission to go abroad between December 24 and 29 saying the doctor has given him appointment for December 27.
CBI, however, had opposed the plea saying probe regarding the money trail in the 2G
