IT major Tata Consultancy Services said that it made job offers to 1,006 students of Anna University this year.
This is the largest number of offers given by the company anywhere in India at a single institute, according to a company statement.
A total of 2,330 students had registered for the test which included 1,270 undergraduate students and 1,060 post graduate students.
These students took up the online test at TCS' Thoraipakkam facility in Chennai. Among the 1,006 students selected 668 were graduates and 338 were post-graduates.
TCS is the first company to conduct campus interviews at the Anna University this year. A total of 60 panelists participated in the recruitment process.
