Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys's Progeon, HCL, KPIT Cummins, MphasiS, ICICI OneSource, Wipro, NIIT SmartServe, vCustomer, WNS, Genpact and Ajuba have been named amongst the world's top BPO providers.
One of the factors that helped TCS win the IAOP accolade is the work it is doing with the Pearl Group limited, a UK-based life insurance firm with two million customers and $55 billion of assets.
Under a recently signed 12-year, $847 million agreement, a newly-formed TCS subsidiary has taken over the administration of the Pearl Group's four million policies, will provide finance and accounting services, and manage the company's day-to-day human resources activities.
TCS has already assumed the Pearl Group's back-office operations. Michael F Corbett, executive director, IAOP, said that "being selected to the 'Top BPO Providers list' for 2006 is a tremendous achievement that speaks of TCS' position as one of the industry's most valuable partners. As the global standard- setting organisation and advocate for the outsourcing profession, IAOP is pleased to recognise TCS with this prestigious award."
The Top BPO Providers for 2006, a sub-list of The Global Outsourcing 100, recognizes the world's top BPO service providers and is based on applications received and evaluated by an independent panel of judges.
The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) with 40,000 corporate, professional, and associate members worldwide, is leading the effort to transform the world of business through outsourcing. Our client-side members are, on average, responsible for $60 million per year of outsourcing spending with some overseeing outsourcing programs in the billions of dollars.
