The interim relief was given by a bench comprising Justice Pradeep Nandrajog and Justice Anil Kumar on an appeal filed by Tata Teleservices Ltd against a single judge's May 30 order, asking Tata to pay within four weeks, 50 per cent of the Rs 95 lakh demanded by BSNL.
BSNL had slapped the interconnectivity charges on Tata, while treating its 'Walky' service as a limited mobile service.
Issuing a notice to BSNL on the appeal filed by TTL, the division bench also stayed the operation of BSNL's circular dated January 14, 2005, which declared 'Walky' as a limited mobile service.
