The total passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market stood at 18,031 units in November, down 34.99 per cent from 27,735 units in the same month last year.
Sales of the company's Nano small car stood at 3,503 units during the month compared to 6,401 units in the year ago period, translating into a decrease of 45.27 per cent.
The Indica range reported sales of 6,956 units as against 10,926 units in the year-ago period, down 36.34 per cent, Tata Motors said. The Indigo family recorded sales of 3,709 units, a fall of 40.30 per cent from 6,213
units in the same month last year, it added.
Sales of the Sumo, Safari and Aria, however, went up by 7.05 per cent to 4,493 units from 4,197 units in the corresponding period last year. In the commercial vehicles segment, the company sold 44,323 units in the domestic market during the month under review compared to 44,732 units in the corresponding period last year.
Light commercial vehicle sales during the month amounted to 34,828 units, a growth of 21.47 per cent over 28,673 units in the same month last year. Medium and heavy commercial vehicle sales stood at 9,495 units, a fall of 40.89 per cent from 16,064 units in November 2011.
The company's exports decreased by 4.67 per cent to 4,146 units last month from 4,349 units in the same month last year, it added.
