Announcing the inauguration of its first manufacturing facility in India, American direct selling major Sunrider on Friday said it has set an ambitious target of recording a sales turnover of $10 million every month by the year 2008.
"The $700 million American company would be selling products worth $10 million every month in India in the next five years time," Tei Fu Chen, founder and chairman, Sunrider International, said at a press conference in New Delhi.
He said the company, through its 100 per cent Indian subsidiary, would introduce a wide range of products -- herbal-based health food, health beverage, beauty and personal care products in the country.
The company, however, had no immediate plans to look for an Indian partner, he said.
He said that Sunrider, boasting presence in over 30 countries, wanted to emulate its success story in China where its sales recorded $40 million a month.
"India ranks very high on our list of priorities. Our single-minded objective worldwide is to help people with a fine lifestyle," he said.
