Nair resigned in January this year, around the same time as Peter Mukherjea, who was the CEO of the Star group.
Since then, Star India's Shailja Kejriwal, senior creative director, and Gaurav Gandhi, vice-president, commercial and business planning, have also resigned both of them have put in their papers in February.
"I have put in my papers and will be joining Sameer Nair," said Kejriwal. "It is true that I will be joining Sameer Nair in a couple of weeks," added Gandhi. Another executive who may soon join Nair's growing clan could be Manoj Vidwans, senior vice-president, Star India. Vidwans, however, said he did not want to comment.
Nair, too, declined to comment. His future plans are expected to be revealed at a press conference on Monday. Paritosh Joshi, president, ad sales and distribution, Star India, said, "We wish our erstwhile colleagues all the best in their new assignment with NDTV."
NDTV said last month that Nair would soon join the network as CEO and director of NDTV Imagine, a subsidiary of NDTV Networks.
Nair is credited with masterminding Star TV's revival in India with 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' and the family soaps of Balaji Telefilms.
