SSA Global, the world's fourth largest enterprise solutions provider, plans to hire 100 engineers in India in the next 12 months and use expertise of Indian software services providers for projects overseas.

"We currently employ 450 people at our development centre in India. In the last seven months we have hired 100 people and next year we plan to increase our headcount by 20 per cent and add close to 100 people more," SSA's executive vice-president Graeme Cooksley said in New Delhi.

The company also plans to invest $2 million in India next year. "Last year we invested close to $10 million in India and next year we propose to invest $2 million more. The investments will not just be in increasing our research and development presence but also for sales and marketing efforts in India," he said.

The company currently has 230 clients in India. "Next year we expect to double the number of clients and revenues in India. Apart from India, the company's growth will come from some of our MNC clients who are working in India," Cooksley said.

Close to 20 per cent of SSA's revenues worldwide come from services. The company plans to use tie-ups with Indian companies in services space for implementation projects in Europe and US.

"We are talking to Polaris and couple of other companies for the tie-ups to service global clients," Cooksley said.
