The pilots of India's budget carrier SpiceJet would now be trained by flight training establishment of the Dubai carrier, Emirates.

An agreement to this effect was signed at the ongoing Dubai Airshow between SpiceJet, the Emirates-CAE Flight Training and Dubai's major travel service provider Dnata on Monday, a release said.

Low-fare airline SpiceJet operates the Boeing B-737 aircraft in an all-economy configuration.

Commenting on the deal, chief of the training establishment Gary Chapman said the ECFT was one of the leading facilities for the aviation industry and "our reputation has attracted new Indian carrier SpiceJet, which looks set for a bright future".
