India's annual rate of inflation rose 0.6 per cent for the week ended June 13, even as prices of food items like pulses, cereals, fruit and vegetables increased compared to last year.
The rate of inflation for the week stood at minus 1.14 per cent as against minus 1.61 per cent for the week ended June 6, official data released in New Delhi on Thursday.
For the first time since the new Wholesale Price Index series started in 1995, India's annual rate of inflation turned negative for the week ended June 6.
