About 150 Mercedes-Benz cars, purchased in a single transaction and valued at Rs 65 crore (Rs 650 million), were distributed in Aurangabad.
The 150 cars that were distributed include 13 S class, 74 E class, 39 C class, 6 GL class and 18 M class cars.
These luxurious cars were booked by the industrialists and businessmen in the city.
The cars arrived in the city two weeks before and were distributed at a programme in the city.
On the occasion, Wilfried Aulbur, managing director and chief executive officer of Mercedes -Benz India said, "Today we have fulfilled the dream of almost 150 individuals in Aurangabad who aspired for the Mercedes brand and I am sure there are others who would be inspired as well."
For Aurangabad, this is not just a high value transaction. The Mercedes transaction has been a lever in driving up the image of the city, he said.
The exposure about this large volume car deal has enhanced the real estate values.
It has also created significantly high interest from investors, many of whom are now actively contemplating entry into this city.
