Jumbo Group company, Shaw Wallace & Co has requisitioned Wipro Ltd to evolve an IT roadmap aimed at incorporating cutting business applications and business intelligence tools.
Company sources said the exercise would require an investment of more than Rs 10 crore.
Wipro would help the company carry out the business process re- engineering exercise, select an ERP package, a system integrator and help in determining the technology needs of the group, sources said.
"The exercise would help establish a strong technology backbone to meet the growing business needs and to compete in the globalised economy," company officials said adding that it would enable better decision making at top management level.
The exercise would focus on mapping the existing business processes, understanding the best practices and design the processes for the liquor major.
