Nokia, Wipro, H-P get nod for SEZ

The government on Wednesday granted approval to Nokia, Wipro, Hewlett Packard, Reliance, Biocon, Ranbaxy Laboratories, Mahindra and Mahindra, Reliance energy and Adani Group's to set up Special Economic zones.

The projected investments by these companies for infrastructure development of SEZs would be about Rs 26,000 crore (Rs 260 billion).

The Karnataka government has submitted proposals for setting up of Agri Export Zones for potato in Hassa, Chickmanglur, Dharwar and Belgaum.
