The Securities and Exchange Board of India on Monday said it was planning a tie up with Commodities and Futures Trading Commission of US within a month for sharing of information.

"We are talking with CFTC. We are hopeful of finalising the agreement in a month's time," Sebi Chairman G N Bajpai said after a meeting with new Finance Secretary D C Gupta in New Delhi.

The market regulator already has tie ups with Securities Exchange Commission and regulators of Mauritius, Sri Lanka and Malaysia and is in talks with the Chinese regulator.
