Satyam eyes Caribbean mart

Satyam Computer Services Limited will be hosting its first Caribbean Executive Round Table Conference in partnership with McEnearney Business Machine, a provider of business equipment and specialised technology solutions, a press release said.

The theme of the conference to be held on June 30, 2005 at Trinidad will be 'Business Transformation: Enabled Through Technology'. Through this conference, Satyam plans to expand its current foothold in Caribbean the Islands.

The conference will be attended by Satyam's current client base and will provide a platform for business leaders to share insight on how innovative IT initiatives can help achieve superior business leadership.

"The partnership between MBM and Satyam is part of the companies' strategy to expand into complimentary areas of business," David Sabga, deputy chairman of ANSA McAL Limited, the parent company of MBM, said.

Satyam's regional Americas head (Canada, Caribbean Islands and Latin America), Sanjay Tugnalt, said, "We see tremendous potential in the Caribbean Islands. The company's launch into the Caribbean is the next step in Satyam's efforts to create a strong competitive regional beachhead in the Americas.

"We look forward to working with MBM and lending our services domain and our industry-leading technology competencies to this emerging market."
