Keeping pace with its brisk business volume, SAS Institute (India) Private Limited will increase its headcount by 20 per cent, company's chief operating officer and managing director Sudipta K Sen said in Mumbai on Thursday.

"Our current strength is 210. We intend to increase this by 20 per cent in the current fiscal," he said.

SAS Institute, the wholly-owned subsidiary of the North Carolina-based SAS Institute Inc, is engaged in providing business intelligence software and services.

Growing at a triple-digit rate in India, the company expects to increase its business volume by at least 100 per cent in 2005-06, Sen said.

The company, he said, earned half of its revenue by providing business intelligence software from the banking sector, while pharma, ITeS and telecom sectors contribute the rest.

SAS has its headquarter in Mumbai and regional offices in Bangalore, New Delhi and Pune.
