SAP India announces channel partners

SAP India, a provider of business software, recently announced its industry-specific channel partners for small and mid-size businesses in Ahmedabad.

The partners include Mahindra Consulting Ltd, which will offer customised solutions for automotive suppliers' industry; Ygyan Consulting, offering solutions for trading and wholesale distribution industry, and Oak Brook Technologies, which will offer solutions for engineering and construction, pharmaceuticals and textile industries.

SAP's offering for the SMB market, mySAP All-in One solutions, will be distributed through the network of qualified channel partners in the city.

With its expertise in the SMB market -- as well as in specific industries -- these partners can deliver the rapid implementation and ongoing support small and midsize businesses need for a greater return on investment.

Along with its partners, SAP will cover all areas including software, hardware and implementation thereby offering a one-stop solution for the customer.

"With the right combination of industry expertise and partners, SAP offers small and mid-sized businesses the right size solution at the right price in the right amount of time and with the right ROI.

"By carefully selecting channel partners who share our commitment to SMBs and offer vertical industry expertise, SAP can deliver long-term customer relationships," said Alan Sedghi, president and managing director of SAP.

"Similar partnerships will be announced to offer mySAP All in One Solutions for other verticals in next few months," he further added.

The product mySAP All-in-One is a prepackaged, industry-specific solution with built-in content, tools and methodologies for a cost effective, turnkey deployment.

The solution has been designed keeping the specific needs of the SMB segment in mind -- smaller user base and pricing. mySAP All-in-One solutions can be deployed for as few as ten users. SAP has also decided to offer financing assistance to the customers in conjunction with its partners.

"mySAP All-in-One solutions deliver the scalability and e-business functionality of mySAP Business Suite to fast-growing companies across vertical segments. SAP has drawn on its expertise serving the world's leading businesses to offer 23 vertical solutions (mySAP All in One). The solutions are based on best practices and industry knowledge gained from thousands of customers across industries," said Sedghi.

mySAP All-in-One comes pre-configured at an attractive price and enables rapid implementation saving up to 40% in time and 30% of cost when compared to traditional implementation approaches.

It will thus offer Return on Investment at a reasonable cost and in a shorter time. In addition, it will offer industry specific Best Practices localised to India.

Companies in the SMB segment have been choosing SAP to run business-critical processes for several years now. SAP has won over 20 customers in last six months alone.

Adeep Locks, a pioneer in the manufacture of automobile locks in India, recently chose SAP to enhance business agility.

"SMB is a strategic focus segment for SAP and the company intends to be the number one solution provider for SMBs in Asia Pacific by 2005. In Asia Pacific, SAP has over 6,680 installations of which 3,460 (more than 50 per cent are SMBs).

"In India, SAP is already in a leadership position with over 160 SMB customers across industry verticals including Neelkamal Plastics, Adeep Locks, H&R Johnson India Ltd, Balsara Hygiene Products Ltd, Bhartia Cutler Hammer, Sudarshan Chemicals Industries Ltd, Daikin Shriram Airconditioning Pvt Ltd., Navneet Publications India Ltd, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Matrix Laboratories and Munjal Showa Ltd," said the official.

To reinforce its commitment to the SMB market, SAP has two executive board members committed to its SMB focus.

"SAP is making deep investments in enabling its partners to address the SMB market through technology training, solution development, certification and qualification. SAP will continue to invest in educating SMB organizations across India.
