The company's president Ki Tae Lee disclosed this to the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who is currently on a visit to Seoul, an official statement said in Chandigarh.
The announcement comes close on the heels of mobile handset leader Nokia announcing plans to set up a manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu. A Taiwanese handset maker too is in talks with New Delhi for setting up shop in the country.
Hooda and members of a delegation led by him also visited the factory of Samsung Electronics Ltd, the Samsung Headquarters and its R&D centre.
Earlier in the day, a roadshow was organised jointly by the Korean International Trade Association and the Indian Embassy at Seoul, which was attended by 30 leading companies of South Korea.
A Korea International Trade Association official said Haryana, by virtue of its location close to New Delhi, has great potential to be the first choice of any multinational company looking for new investment opportunities in India.
