Samsung to export refrigerators from India

Samsung India on Monday announced that the company is all set to export Indian made refrigerators, the second product category in its consumer electronics and home appliances portfolio, that would be exported from India in addition to colour televisions.

"The 'Made in India' refrigerators would be exported to Africa, West Asia and CIS countries and initially we plan to export 50,000 frost free refrigerators in various capacities ranging from 180 litres to 380 litres this year," company's director sales and marketing, Ravinder Zutshi said in Hyderabad.

"The company also plans to export refrigerators to SAARC countries in the near future as well," Zutshi said adding, it also plans to export one lakh colour TVs from its NOIDA facility this year.
