Samsung Electronics will soon launch notebook PCs and the latest flat screen digital televisions in India, a market which the South Korean firm considers as one of the six fastest growing markets.
"Over the next six months, we plan to introduce in India the latest liquid crystal display televisions, large screen plasma digital panel televisions, projection TVs, hypervision DVD players and notebook PCs," K S Kim, president & CEO (Asia Pacific), Samsung Asia, said on the sidelines of IFA 2003 trade exhibition in Berlin.
Samsung, South Korea's biggest company, showcased the world's largest 54-inch LCD television, the world's first 70-inch PDP television, hypervision DVD players and world's first hard disk drive-based digital camcorder at IFA.
Kim said Samsung plans to introduce a range of large PDP, LCD and projection televisions, featuring ultra-crisp images, improved picture quality and unsurpassed resolution, in India from this month.
Samsung also launched 56-inch triple panel LCD projector TV, a range of portable digital audio devices, advanced home cinema systems, 32-inch LCD TVs and world's thinnest and lightest 2-spindle notebook PC.
M Y Shin, executive vice president, Samsung Electronics, said India was among the six markets with fastest growth potential, others being the United States, China, Russia, Thailand and Brazil.
