New Sahara news channels from Mar 28

The Rs 32,000 crore (Rs 320 billion) Sahara India group will launch its national Hindi news channel and six of its planned 31 city-centric satellite news channels across the country on March 28.

The regional news channels will begin with Sahara Samay Uttar Pradesh covering Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Agra, Gorakhpur

and Dehradun, a Sahara release said on Wednesday.

Other city-centric channels will be launched in the next four months, the release said.

The group also plans to introduce a 48-page newspaper-size Hindi national weekly, its 30 city editions, an English newsweekly of the same size and frequency and an Urdu international newspaper, it added.
