"It is a great market. There is a spurt in the number of people travelling in India," he said. Bhatia, who floated a new venture 'Blogeverywhere.com' on Monday, said he was planning to relaunch Arzoo.com within three months time, but gave no further details.
Arzoo.com was launched by Bhatia some time back but it failed to meet any success. He had floated a new venture Blogeverywhere.com, an internet-based toolbar that enables faster e-mail browsing and allows users to post their comments on any website in the world.
Earlier, Bhatia was announced as the 'Brand Ambassador' of Round Table India, a fellowship-based social service organisation aimed at spreading literacy in India through the 'Freedom through Education' project with a goal to educate one million underprivileged children by 2008.
RTI National President Ravi Khanna said 2,500 professionals from all over the country have joined hands with the organisation and contributed to building hundreds of schools covering half a million underprivileged children.
Bhatia said for India to achieve success as a technology and economic powerhouse, "we have to first deal with the issue of endemic illiteracy and ensure that the benefits of the Internet and related technologies were available to the broadest possible of stakeholders".
"It is shocking to note that more than 100 million children in India still do not have access to fundamental primary education," he said.Do you want to discuss stock tips? Do you know a hot one? Join the Stock Market Discussion Group.
